🎭 Comedy, Festivals & Unique Shore Traditions

Margate Comedy Night (Featuring Tom Cotter)

• When: Saturday, August 22 | 8:00 PM

• Where: Dominick A. Potena Performing Arts Center (7998 Monmouth Ave)

• Details: Headliner Tom Cotter—breakout star and finalist from America’s Got Talent—brings his fast-paced stand-up comedy to Margate. Proceeds from the event go directly toward supporting local civic and charitable organizations.  

• Towers Tip: Located less than a 5-minute drive from Margate Towers, this is one of the summer’s premier indoor evenings. Grab dinner along Atlantic Avenue beforehand!

Margate’s Duck Derby (Quack-A-Palooza)

• When: Sunday, August 23 | 11:00 AM

• Where: Scott’s Dock (9211 Amherst Ave & the Bay)  

• Details: A beloved family tradition sponsored by Margate Wine and Spirit Gardeners! Hundreds of numbered, weighted rubber ducks are dumped into a designated bay course, drifting toward the finish line powered by the bay current. Cash prizes are awarded to the winning ducks.  

• Towers Tip: Spectators gather along the promenade area along Amherst Ave. Arrive by 10:30 AM to secure a prime view along the railing!

Margate City Farmers Market

• When: Thursdays | 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM  

• Where: Steve & Cookie’s Restaurant & Oyster Bar (9700 Amherst Ave)
